LONDON – World coffee exports amounted to 8.34 million bags in September 2017, compared with 9.79 million in September 2016, reports the ICO. Exports of all coffee groups were down on year, with the exception of Colombian Milds.
Exports in coffee year 2016/17 (Oct/16 to Sep/17) increased by 4.8% to 122.45 million bags compared to 116.89 million bags in the last coffee year.
In the twelve months ending September 2017, Arabica shipments rose 7.9% to 77.516 million bags.
Robusta exports fell slightly (-0.2%) to 44.93 million bags from 45.02 million bags, says the ICO.
