LONDON – The International Coffee Organization has decided to postpone the 5th World Coffee Conference (WCC) and the 127th Session of the International Coffee Council and other ICO bodies until further notice due to ongoing global pandemic. In the wake of the prevailing global pandemic of covid-19, the International Coffee Organization, in consultation with the India Coffee Board, India Coffee Trust, the Government of India and the Chair of the International Coffee Council, has decided to postpone both the 5th World Coffee Conference (WCC) and the 127th Session of the International Coffee Council and other ICO bodies until further notice.
Both events were scheduled to be held from the 7-12th September 2020 in Bengaluru, India. We at the International Coffee Organization (ICO) are deeply concerned by health and economic crisis resulting from covid-19.
The ICO is looking into alternative options for the core meetings of the Council and we will endeavour to update you as soon as possible.
The Organization aims to serve our membership effectively while ensuring the health and safety of ICC participants and staff.
The ICO remains fully committed to maintaining a productive dialogue with stakeholders and we are confident that our Member countries will be able to effectively engage on pressing issues impacting the global coffee sector at an alternative stage.
