TRIESTE, Italy – illycaffè, the global leader in high-quality sustainable coffee, is once again an official sponsor of Ein Prosit, the event celebrating culinary excellence, to be held in Udine from October 16 to 20. The festival blends the traditional gastronomy of the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region with international haute cuisine: 90 top chefs from over 20 countries will showcase fine dining, collaborating to create 50 Signature Dinners.
illy is the event’s official coffee: it will be served at the end of every tasting menu, rounding out the gourmet experiences offered by some of the leading lights of haute cuisine, many of whom are illy Chef Ambassadors – from Massimo Bottura to Antonia Klugmann, including Jessica Rosval, Niko Romito, Mauro Uliassi, and pastry chef Gianluca Fusto.
“We are happy to renew our alliance with Ein Prosit, a major event for our region that reminds us of the importance of excellence in gastronomy in Italy and abroad. Together with our Chef Ambassadors and thanks to the support of illy’s UniversitĂ del Caffè, which celebrates the 25th anniversary of its foundation this year, we will bring our experience to the table to help promote a better culture around one of the world’s most appreciated beverages”, commented Cristina Scocchia, CEO of illycaffè.
As part of Ein Prosit’s rich bill of events, in the “Flavour Workshops” programme, the UniversitĂ del Caffè will offer three Tasting lessons at Caffè Contarena on Saturday, October 19, at 11:00 am, 12:30 pm, and 2:00 pm. Participants will discover the illy blend 100% Arabica in its roasting shades. Also on Saturday, from 9:00 am to 10:30 am, the venue will open its doors to the public for a Good morning with illy as a chance to enjoy a morning coffee.

In addition to espresso, which will be offered at all dinners and dedicated events, the illy Signature Drink for Ein Prosit, an exclusive recipe based on illy Cold Brew Ready to Drink created with different interpretations by the Master Bartenders participating in the festival, will be featured during all cocktails and happy hours.
