Javier Valle Goyanes is illycaffè’s new MD for Spain and Portugal

BARCELLONA, Spain – illycaffè has announced that Javier Valle Goyanes, will join the company as Managing Director of illycaffè spa sucursal en España y Portugal. The director will report directly to Cristina Scocchia, the new CEO of illycaffè spa and will replace Massimo Saggese, who leaves the company to pursue a new professional project, after 20 years dedicated to the world of coffee.

Javier Valle holds a degree in Business Administration by the European Business School of Madrid, and has worked mainly for international markets, starting in sales and developing his career into management positions in Spain, France, Mexico, Portugal and Italy.

He started working for Coca-Cola Spain in Horeca and Modern Trade channels, and continued in L’Oreal for 18 years, first in Spain as Channel Director, to then be the responsible for France and Mexico.

In 2013 he was appointed Managing Director of L’Oreal Portugal and from 2015 to 2018, he was Managing Director for Italy. After L’Oreal, he was Managing Director for Juul Labs in Spain and responsible of Revenue & Category Growth at Diageo for the South of Europe.
