TRIESTE, Italy – illycaffè introduces the latest iteration of a legend: the new X1 Anniversary ECO MODE coffee machine featuring the Iperespresso capsule system, designed to meet environmental sustainability criteria to provide consistently high-quality illy coffee with the utmost speed and ease of use.
Thanks to its Eco Mode feature with fast-heating technology, the new Iperespresso X1 Anniversary ECO MODE is always ready to make coffee, steam, or hot water without having to wait for it to heat up.
This ensures significant energy savings: about 50% less than the previous generation of X1 Iperespresso*.
To provide the easiest user experience possible, the machine features buttons dedicated to individual coffee preparations (a button for espresso/lungo and a button for Americano), a steam wand to froth milk and supply hot water, and an analogical display with instantaneous analogical display.
The fast-heating technology makes it possible to make multiple beverages in quick succession, drastically cutting waiting times. Additionally, the Iperespresso system ensures consistent high quality while reducing to a minimum maintenance and cleaning operations.
It’s not just the machine’s technological heart that makes the X1 Anniversary Iperespresso ECO MODE an iconic model: made with high-quality, durable materials such as the hand-polished steel shell, it was designed by the internationally renowned architect and industrial designer Luca Trazzi to be a perfect blend of beauty and technology and has become a design classic thanks to its vintage look and its distinctive sinuous lines.

The new X1 Anniversary ECO MODE is available in two versions: stainless steel and varnished in illy red and black, at a suggested retail price of € 699.00 for the stainless-steel version and € 649.00 for the varnished version. Available starting from October from the illy e-shop and single-brand stores (illy Caffè and illy Shop).
