VENICE, Italy — illycaffè renews its collaboration with La Biennale di Venezia on the occasion of the 58th International Art Exhibition entitled May You Live In Interesting Times.

In order to celebrate the strong bond, which has continued through ten editions of the International Exhibition, illycaffè returns to Venice with a special project that will highlight the three souls of the brand-sustainability, quality, and beauty- combining each of their merits.

In a series of dinner events, organized with the Michelin Guide at the Arsenale Restaurant Le Bombarde, during the six months of the Exhibition, a creative dialogue between an artist, chosen by curator Ralph Rugoff, and a starred chef, selected by Michelin, will be featured, with each dinner featuring someone new.

The chef and the artist will share a creative moment that will create a unique fine dining experience, offered for purchase online to the public by the MICHELIN Guide.

A part of the proceeds will be donated to support the digitalization process of the Photo library of the Biennale’s Historic Archive of Contemporary Arts.

Each artist will also contribute to the creation of an illy Art Collection, by designing one of the cups which will be part of the first artist collection of 2020.

“A path to the perfect synthesis of the historic values of the company – explains Massimiliano Pogliani, CEO of illycaffè –which are summarized in our constant support of art and creativity, in our research in absolute quality and taste, and in our strong efforts to improve our current times. The words of Rugoff will find their full expression in our dinners: ‘a vision of the social function of art which includes both enjoyment and critical thought’. The occasion for creating original encounters to take on the so-called ‘interesting times’.”
