Costa Coffee celebrated the opening of the TV show “Everest”. Everest is a Hindi language Indian show which premiered on STAR Plus on 3 November 2014. It showcases a journey of a small town girl to the highest peak of the world. Costa Coffee turned its two outlets in Delhi (GK & Basant Lok) & two in Mumbai (Versova & Khar) into Everest Base camp.
Faux snow was layered on the floor, air temperature was controlled at 4 degree inside the outlet, and walls was mounted with Everest backdrop and created a similar experience of what it felt to be at Everest. Other elements like Barrels, Harness, Tibetan Flags, Pebbles and Rocks were also a part of the setup.
Costa gave mountaineering gear like Jackets, Hats and Ear Muff to its patrons who walked in the outlets. The whole experience was indeed a unique & fun for all who walked in the Costa over the weekend in select stores in Delhi & Mumbai.
Costa on its path offered to its customers a steaming hot Cappuccino which gave them the feel of Everest Base Camp.
Costa Coffee entered India in September 2005 through an exclusive master franchisee tie-up with Devyani International Ltd. (a Ravi Jaipuria promoted company and part of the 3000 Crore RJ Corp) making it the first international coffee chain to start operations in India. Costa Coffee currently operates over 100 stores across India.
