CHENNAI – The fifth edition of the India International Coffee Festival 2014 will take place in Bangalore from January 21 to January 25. About 1,000 delegates and 10,000 visitors are expected to attend the gathering. The ‘Changing Face of Coffee’ would be the theme of the festival, to be held at hotel Lalit Ashok Bangalore.
“Coffee continues its transformation from a growth story in India to a story of lifestyle, attitude and behviour. Also, in the last decade, the coffee industry in India has moved up the value chain from being an important global player to being one of the most significant and sought after markets in the world,” Ramesh Rajah, trustee and convener of the conference, said
The festival would have a coffee quiz as well as a coffee expo which would provide an opportunity to industry players to showcase and unveil the latest coffee and blends, new technologies and equipment in coffee making.
The expo would also include a product sampling session.
In addition, there would also be an international conference where participants would discuss and debate on the latest trends in the coffee market, including its health benefits as well as alternative channels of coffee delivery to consumers.
A trip to Coorg, called ‘Coffee Trail to Coorg,’ will be conducted at the end of the festival.
