MILAN – Cocoa bean exports from Indonesia, the third largest producer in the world, are set to decline to historic lows, according to Indonesian Cocoa Association.
Exports may drop as much as 26% to 100,000 metric tons this year on increased demand from local grinders, said Dakhri Sanusi, secretary-general of the Association. This would be the smallest amount since at least 2001, when the group’s data series begins.
