MUMBAI, India – Wake Cup Coffee & Eatery has recently opened its first Indian outlet in Mumbai. This opening also marks the Indonesian coffee chain’s international debut. The new outlet was launched with local franchisee Gobble Me Good after opening 13 domestic stores.
Flavour Lattes, Mochaccino and signature iced coffees like Ice Pandan Coffee, Ice Cendol Coffee and Ice Robusta Coffee, along with non-coffee lattes like Blackforest Latte, Taro Latte and Matcha Latte are part of the beverage lineup. Wake Cup Coffee & Eatery ’s menu also provides a selection of vegetarian and vegan options.
The café chain market is one of the fastest growing categories in India’s consumer food service industry and is estimated to grow at 6.9% a year rate to US$660 million by 2023 in terms of sales, according to a report from Euromonitor.
“Consumers frequenting cafes in India are primarily 18-35 years old which comprises the country’s primary working force with higher disposable income and fast-paced lives,” says the report.
