STUTTGART, Germany — Gourmet professionals join forces for the Avantgarde Cuisine Festival in Düsseldorf. After many years of experience in top gastronomy, their skills and qualifications will be pooled in future.
The strength of content of the gourmet format is being supported by extended industry contacts and additional communication levers of Messe Stuttgart, and will be developed further in future under joint control.
The reason for the merger is not only the common interest in gastronomy, but also to enhance the Avantgarde Cuisine Festival. “This new partnership will ensure permanent further development at the highest possible level. In combination with the final touches by Thomas Ruhl we will use valuable synergy effects,” said Dr. Thomas Köhl, Managing Director of FLEET Events.
The publisher Thomas Ruhl initiated the CHEF-SACHE format ten years ago and has turned the event in collaboration with FLEET Events into an important platform for the German hotel and restaurant industry.
The special appeal of the format is the careful selection of the topics and top chefs. It also represents an important forum for discussions and networking.
“After we enjoyed fantastic development in the last few years, it’s now time to take the event to a new level. It is a wonderful challenge to use this concentrated expertise for CHEF-SACHE and have on board such a marvellous partner from the industry as INTERGASTRA,” said Thomas Ruhl.
Messe Stuttgart will stage the 30th edition of INTERGASTRA, one of the most important European trade fairs for restaurants, hotels and dedicated hosts, from 15 to 19 February 2020. It will therefore provide chefs with various opportunities for exchanges, networking and inspiration.
In addition to the “Night of the Stars” during which around 150 Michelin star chefs and 35 acclaimed chefs came together at INTERGASTRA 2018, the IKA/Culinary Olympics will be held in Stuttgart in 2020 for the first time. Professional chefs from all over the world compete against one another in teams during the IKA/Culinary Olympics.
The large network of the new partner and the links to industry and politics will ensure that the Avantgarde Cuisine Festival can be purposefully enhanced.
“We have been able to build up great expertise through the orientation of INTERGASTRA and other event formats in this areas. We are pleased that we can also demonstrate this expertise at CHEF-SACHE in Düsseldorf. The strength of content of this format has great potential,” said Ulrich Kromer von Baerle, President of Messe Stuttgart, in welcoming the new partnership.
The first CHEF-SACHE in which the new partners will actively cooperate will take part at Areal Böhler in Düsseldorf on 16 and 17 September 2018.
