7th Consultative Forum on Coffee Sector Finance
The 7th Consultative Forum which will be chaired by Mr Juan Esteban Orduz, President and CEO of the Colombian Coffee Federation, Inc. 2.
The Forum will promote an exchange of views on ‘Creating an Enabling Environment for High Productivity in Coffee Farming’.
Given the reduced availability of new land for agricultural use, one of the most important challenges to the sustainability of coffee production is to increase the productivity of land already under cultivation.
Yields vary widely among coffee producing countries and great potential for improvement exists.
This year ́s Forum will focus on sharing best practices and lessons learned from countries that have successfully created an enabling environment for high productivity in coffee farming.
The day will be split into sessions during, which country cases with a wide regional coverage will be presented.
The country cases will be followed by a concluding panel discussion with all the speakers engaging in a lively debate and answering questions from the audience.
