HAMBURG, Germany – The requirements and needs in the foodservice and hospitality are many and varied. It is vital for companies to be aware of what is going on in the industry if they want to keep pace. Forward looking companies with sound business and production methods, using sustainable solutions for the out-of-home market, make a real difference.

They can enter for the Internorga Future Award, to be held for the 9th time in 2019. The prestigious and internationally recognised prize will be presented in three categories at Internorga. The competition is now open for entries. Up to the deadline 15 January 2019, entries can be submitted both directly and in the form of nominations, at https://www.internorga.com/en/programme/awards/future-award/.

Taking new paths, opening up perspectives, presenting sustainable solutions, and thus generating impulses for the industry – the Internorga Future Award honours innovative products, technologies and strategies for a sustainable future, in the whole of the foodservice and catering markets.

Three companies have a chance to win the Award in 2019. In the category Trendsetter Companies – Gastronomy & Hotel sector, companies can either enter themselves, or they can be nominated. The Award honours companies from the hospitality, restaurant, catering and canteen sectors that combine entrepreneurial business with sustainable activity, thus setting trends for tomorrow.

The other two categories are open exclusively to Internorga exhibitors. The Trendsetter Product – Food & Drink award is given for an innovative product that stands out with healthy, sustainable raw materials, or high quality of processing and flavour, or by fair production conditions and recycling.

The Trendsetter Product – Technology & Equipment award goes to smart solutions for the foodservice and catering market, with excellent performance in terms of efficiency and economy, in the use of energy and materials, in long product life, and in providing capabilities for updating and repairing.

This category also includes digital solutions that optimise work processes and applications, and move in new directions.

Internorga Future Award winner 2018 heading for success

The 2018 winner Rieber GmbH is exemplary. Max Maier jun., CEO CHECK Services, puts it like this: “We are proud to have won the prestigious Internorga Future Award 2018. Our multimanufacturer platform CHECK CLOUD has a practical digital system that convinces not only our customers but also the judges. It took first place against a strong field of competitors in the category Trendsetter Product – Technology & Equipment.

This honour improves our recognition and helps us to improve still further our strategic positioning in the market with equipment manufacturers, customers and planners; it gives objective confirmation of the outstanding level of interest which our equipment enjoys in the whole of the food sector.”
