Main goal of Honduran Coffee Innovation (HCI) is to bring inspiration and innovation to Honduran coffee producers and roasters.

The mission of Honduras Coffee Innovation(HCI) is to assist small to midsize coffee producers to produce the best quality of Honduran specialty coffees and to promote their coffees in major consumer markets.

HCI also hopes to increase internal consumption of good quality coffees. This mission will result in an increase of the producers’ cup quality and income for their families and local community and broaden the consuming horizon of Honduras Specialty Coffee.

Future projects include an innovative wet mill and micro dry mill, building a database for Specialty coffee buyers in consumer markets, combining coffee industry with tourism by creating regional coffee competitions such as Oro de Santa Barbara.

HCI members plan to introduce SCA certified specialty coffee courses for Barista and Roasters and define additional projects increasing specialty coffee retail market in Honduras.
