SPRINGFIELD, IL, USA – The International Women’s Coffee Alliance (IWCA) announces that Elizabeth Nyamayaro, award-winning humanitarian and United Nations Special Advisor for the World Food Programme, will be the keynote speaker for the 2023 Breakfast at the Specialty Coffee Expo in Portland, Oregon.
The keynote program is made possible by MiiR, the presenting Breakfast sponsor.
“With a renewed focus on coffee farming & production, MiiR is thrilled to be sponsoring the IWCA breakfast this year,” said Devon Richardson, Giving & Sustainability Manager at MiiR.
“While our partnership with IWCA is relatively new, we can’t think of a better organization to learn & grow with in support of female coffee growers all over the world. We’re just as energized around Elizabeth Nyamayaro, her incredible accomplishments, and are honored to have played even a small part in making this breakfast come to life.”
The breakfast is an annual fundraiser for the organization and an opportunity for industry peers to connect with IWCA chapter members, staff, and board and receive updates on the organization’s key initiatives and impact.
“As we celebrate our 20th anniversary this year and reflect on where we have been and where we want to go, there is no better inspirational person than Elizabeth Nyamayaro to deliver the key message of perseverance and hard work to achieve meaningful change and no better organization committed to sustainability through their motto ‘Design Forward. Generosity Driven’ than MiiR to partner with in delivering this message.” Said IWCA Executive Director, Dr. Sarada Krishnan.
Tickets for the IWCA Breakfast are on sale now through the SCA Registration portal. This year has an additional ticket upgrade option that will include a copy of I Am A Girl From Africa, written by Elizabeth Nyamayaro.
