Jacobs Douwe Egberts to acquire Swiss companies Repa and Fruchthof

MILAN – Jacobs Douwe Egberts, a subsidiary of the largest pure-play coffee and tea company in the world, has announced the acquisition of Repa AG and Fruchthof Aktiengesellschaft. Both companies are based in Hendschiken, Switzerland. The target group supplies liquid concentrate of coffee, milk, cacao and tea as well as juice concentrate and is a provider of services related to coffee and juice machines in Switzerland.

Since 1982 Repa has been the Swiss distributor for Jacobs Douwe Egberts ‘ Cafitesse liquid coffee and machines, including delivery and technical service, while Fruchthof juice systems use the same frozen technology as Cafitesse.

The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and expected to close in Q4 2020.
