SAN FRANCISCO, U.S. — Kuju Coffee becomes the first single-serve pour over brand to achieve significant national retail distribution with expansion nationwide into all REI stores, as well as Academy Sports’ 254 stores, further establishing themselves as the leading pioneers in the new single-serve pour over category.
Since launching in 2016, the Pocket PourOver® by Kuju Coffee, a single-serve, ready-to-brew pour over, has gained strong momentum reaching a retail network that includes REI, Mountain Equipment Co-Op in Canada, Sportsman’s Warehouse, Backcountry.com, Bass Pro Shops, Sports Basement, Huckberry.com, Nugget Markets and more than 100 independent outdoor and gift shops.
“What started with a goal to provide a better alternative to instant coffee has turned into so much more, said Jeff Wiguna, co-founder and CEO of Kuju Coffee. “So many of our customers were simply used to sacrificing the Quality of their morning coffee ritual because they didn’t think there was another option. We’re really excited to show them that really, really good coffee can be simple and accessible.”
This summer Kuju Coffee introduced a Premium Single Origin collection featuring three top- notch coffees from the world’s top coffee regions: Yirgacheffe, Ethiopia, West Sumatra, Indonesia and the Eastern Highlands region of Papua New Guinea.
Kuju’s Premium Single Origin collection makes some of the world’s most esteemed coffees, approachable for all coffee drinkers – roasted a little darker than at traditional specialty coffee shops, but light enough to preserve some of the natural characteristics of the beans.
This latest collection joins Kuju Coffee’s original Classics Collection which includes dark, medium and light roast blends of ethically sourced, specialty-grade coffee grown on a family farm that employs former victims of sex-trafficking.
