MILAN, Italy – An event dedicated to Italian Style, but with international, or rather worldwide, appeal. Like Venditalia. La Bella Vita, what Italy is known for in the world: this is the title which Venditalia has chosen for this year’s exclusive gala evening with Michelin starred chef, reserved for the vendors and visitors participating in the tenth edition of the most important international vending trade show in the world, scheduled to take place from May 4-7 2016 at Fieramilanocity.

La Bella Vita is scheduled for Friday, May 6, 2016. Attendees will enjoy a truly glamorous evening at Milan’s evocative East End Studios located at Via Mecenate 90, a venue known for having been the set of some of the most widely viewed programs on TV, from the cooking show Masterchef to the talent show The Voice of Italy.

A Michelin starred chef for La Bella Vita

The evening begins at 7:30 pm with cocktails Under the stars followed by a gala dinner, two exclusive gatherings immersed in the scents and flavors of Italy’s culinary excellence and curated by Michelin starred chef Mirko Bernardini.

Mirko Bernardini, born in 1980, has worked and trained internationally alongside high-caliber chefs like Paul Bocuse, in Collonge, and Alain Ducasse, at the Hotel de Paris in Montecarlo. In 2000 Troisgros hired him as the chef de partie at his restaurant “La Maison” in Roanne.

Two years later he returned to Italy and worked alongside numerous celebrity chefs: from Cracco-Peck to Sadler, the “Madonnina del Pescatore” to “Da Vittorio”. In 2004 a new adventure took him to Spain, to work at “El-Bulli” run by Ferran and Albert Adrià, where he met Massimo Bottura, chef and owner of the award winning “Osteria Francescana”in Modena.

In 2006 Bernardini decided that it was time to open his own restaurant. Three years later he received the highly coveted Michelin star for “Lear” in Briosco. In 2010 he became a professional sommelier as well and today manages the restaurants and is a consultant for some of the most important Italian food companies in the world, including Ferrero Spa, Granarolo France (Codipal), Barilla, Inalca, and Paren.

The special show All that musical

At 10:30 pm the lights will go down in the house and come up on the stage as the performers of BIT Company make their entrance. Founded in Turin in 2007, today BIT has over 400 performances to its credit, and performs worldwide.

The special show dedicated to La Bella Vita is called All That Musical (directed and choreographed by Melina Pellicano, production director Chiara Marro, staging by Anna Maria Carbone, costumes by Agostino Porchietto and Lucrezia Zoroddu) and is an exhilarating kaleidoscopic spectacle of music and dance (watch the trailer).

THE SHOW. A brilliant and fast paced musical revue full of catchy medleys that will have the audience reliving some of the greatest moments in musical theater history. To begin with an audition, as all productions begin, to the tune of “A Chorus Line”: the choreographer teaches the dance steps, the performers rehearse, the cast is put together, and the show begins.

Then an uninhibited Can-can takes us back in time to the beginning of the 20th century to witness the passionate love story of “Moulin Rouge”. Willkommen, and it’s on to “Cabaret”, remembering the success and the songs of Liza Minnelli. An evocative lighting change and suddenly it’s the 1970s with the entire cast on stage to recreate “Saturday Night Fever”, closing with a taste “Grease”…

After the show, dancing and La Bella Vita will continue late into the night to the rhythms of the live Dj Set.
