FLORENCE, Italy – La Marzocco, a leading handmade espresso machine and equipment manufacturer renowned for its innovation and craftsmanship, announced the 2024 edition of its trademark event, Out of the Box. This event celebrates coffee culture, innovation, and the surrounding community. It will kick off in Copenhagen on June 28, 2024, during World of Coffee Europe.
OOTB events aim to showcase La Marzocco’s latest products and technologies, foster collaboration, and provide a platform for sharing best practices and new ideas within the coffee industry.
La Marzocco will open its doors from 2:30 pm at Prags Boulevard 49b, 2300, Copenhagen, the rRebel Denmark showroom, to welcome all coffee enthusiasts and pros, baristas, roasters, coffee shop owners, and anyone wanting to enjoy time with friends.
Visitors can hear the panel talks on: The history of Nordic Coffee at the venue with Tim Wendelboe (Tim Wendelboe), Klaus Thomsen (Coffee Collective), Anne Lunell (Koppi Roasters), and Patrik Rolf (April Coffee); Sustainability with coffee buyers represented by Amanda Caudill (Falcon Coffees), Cesar Magaña (Belco), Ian Fretheim (Cafe Imports), Joanne Berry (Nordic Approach), Pedro Luis Manga (Caravela Coffee), Guido Preti (Sustainability Manager at La Marzocco) and Massimo Battaglia (Coffee Research Leader at Accademia del Caffè Espresso) on the Consenso project; Coffee Pairings with James Hennebry (Rosslyn Coffee, London) Jacob James (Sales Coordinator at La Marzocco UK & Ireland), Chef Riccardo Marcon (Barabba restaurant, Copenhagen) and Nik Neubauer (co-founder of Aeries cocktail brand).
Guests can also participate in on-site competitions like Beyond the Bean’s Espresso Martini Challenge with BIGFACE Coffee and Wally Milk x Oatly, the Oat Latte Art Throwdown. Moreover, La Marzocco will curate a variety of activities, which include a professional Tea Evaluation workshop with the European Specialty Tea Association, a High-End Robusta Degustation, a Caffeine Sensory Experience, Espresso Tasting, and Brewing the perfect Moka session with Accademia del Caffè Espresso’s Coffee Specialists.
Visitors can also experience the Accademia del Caffè Espresso through the Metaverse immersive visit and unwind in Accademia’s lounge. Taste coffees from various top Nordic roasters and international brands on the Nordic True Artisan Cafè; coffees will be ground on a fleet of Swan Grinders (La Marzocco’s newest commercial grinder).
Outside collaborators like Specialized will have bikes available to explore the city. End the evening with a few bites & drinks, a DJ set, and a good time with the coffee community.
