SHANGHAI, China – La Marzocco has relocated its Chinese branch office to a new showroom in downtown Shanghai (Room 10AB, Silver Tower, Jiu An Plaza 258, Tongren Road, Jing An District) designed to gather, serve and train the local community on all things coffee culture and “essence”.
The novel space infuses warm Italian elegance with a modern concrete twist in interior design; it comprises offices, espresso stations (featuring both La Marzocco and Modbar commercial machines), barista gear, merchandising displays and an immersive La Marzocco Home area.
At the end of 2020, three years after La Marzocco’s 90th anniversary and official entry to China, the team has celebrated this new chapter by launching an on-invitation event with partners, end-customers, resellers, coffee masters, journalists and with the virtual participation of the company’s international management who shared their festive greetings to the attendees – all in the presence of a DJ set, brewing sessions, latte art demos and gamified handicraft sessions.
Gordon Chang, General Manager at La Marzocco China, delivered a heartfelt speech alongside Douglas Chang, GM Assistant and Sales & Marketing Director, conveying their commitment to providing excellent customer service and being a point of reference in the marketplace.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony took place with the participation of Ludovica Murazzani, Consul and Head of the Economic and Commercial Office at the Consulate General of Italy in Shanghai.
