MILAN, Italy – La Marzocco and partner brand Modbar, one of this year’s World Aeropress Championship sponsors, is happy to announce Elisa Urdich winner of the 2019 Italian Aeropress Championship.
Elisa, a coffee-passionate who runs a café in Treviso and was crowned Best Barista in Italy at the latest Barawards, made it to the top of this competition alongside Davide Mazzaferro and Giuseppe Franti, earning a ticket to London to take part in the “WAC! grand finale (November 2019).
The Italian AeroPress Championship – which was hosted by La Marzocco last Friday, June 28th, at the company’s office and showroom in Milan – involved 41 competitors, over 60 spectators, multiple sponsors (BWT, DM Italia, Edo Barista, E&B Lab) and a jury of diverse coffee and F&B experts: Chiara Bergonzi (founder of Lot Zero), Enrico Wurm (Product Improvement Manager at La Marzocco), Katerina Logvinova (Brand Ambassador at Elephant Gin), Maurizio Valli (co-founder of Bugan Coffee Lab), Michael Gardenia (fondatore di Fusillo Lab) e Nadia Rossi (journalist at Bargiornale, media partner of the event).
The full day program offered fresh and fun content: morning Aeropress practice sessions, espresso making-and-tasting on the Modbar, vegan latte and ice-cream demos, Aeropress movie screening, Linea BBQ and evening aperitif with live music.
