PARIS – Last night, at the annual European Coffee Awards, on occasion of the European Coffee Symposium, La Marzocco’s Honorary President, Piero Bambi, was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award at the black-tie gala dinner held at the Pullman Paris Montparnasse.
Criteria for the award include achievement of significant results that benefit the coffee industry as a whole, genuine passion, ethics, and length of genuine service. Piero was honoured in the presence of European coffee industry leaders as well as La Marzocco’s Guido Bernardinelli, Chris Salierno and Roxana Ursu, and his grand-nephew, Lorenzo Toscani (pictures).
La Marzocco, in the company of La Cimbali and Nuova Simonelli, was also nominated in the category of Best Coffee Equipment Supplier – Europe. Best Supplier Awards are based on the total number of recommendations received by industry leaders across Europe. Managing Director, Guido Bernardinelli gratefully accepted the 1st Place award on behalf of La Marzocco’s staff, branches and network of distributors and partners throughout the globe. La Marzocco takes home a prize from the European Coffee Awards for the fourth year in a row, and 1st Place in the same category for the second year in a row, testimony to the place it has earned within the specialty coffee community on the continent.
