FLORENCE, Italy – La Marzocco announces the launch of its signature Out of the Box event in UK’s capital, taking place on Saturday, December 3rd, at the Hackney House of London, to present the ultimate designs in espresso technology, cross-industrial panels, SCAE competitions and specialty blends from all over Europe.
Out of the Box is a destination event that is rich in content and dedicated to La Marzocco’s partners and coffee enthusiasts from around the globe.
It is a cultural celebration, bringing together the local community through La Marzocco’s passion for amazing coffee.
Visitors are invited to experience a full-day agenda (10 am – 11 pm) of interactive workshops, Q&A panels, the pop-up rotating roaster “True Artisan Café” format, the UK finals of Latte Art and Coffee In Good Spirits, and hands-on sessions with some of the most advanced pieces of coffee equipment within the industry, including the Strada AV and Modbar.
La Marzocco will also be hosting the “OOTB Christmas After-party” at the venue with live music and performances, street food and prizes.

La Marzocco exclusively brings the Re:co symposium to Out of the Box for a one off ‘Under the Spotlight’ panel with Matt Slater, International Re:co Symposium Director.
THE UK Modern Slavery Act
Falcon Coffees presents ‘The UK Modern Slavery Act: Do you really know who grows your coffee?’ Falcon’s Konrad Brits and Mike Riley are joined by Violeta Stevens, Director of Supply Chain at Union Hand-Roasted Coffee as they ask “How do we as a coffee community invested in ethical sourcing, ensure what we believe about our coffees is true?”
Profile of a Profiler
‘Profile of a Profiler’ is a panel specifically around speciality coffee roasting, from sourcing through to software.
Panellists include; Bradley Nelson, Head of Professional Sales from IKAWA, Andy Benedikter, head of sales at Cropster, co-founder of Koppi Coffee and Swedish Barista Champion, Anne Lunell as well as three time UK Barista Champion, co-owner and founder of Colonna Coffee, Maxwell Colonna-Dashwood.
Brand & Deliver
The panel aims to explore how companies maintain the heart of a small independent company as they grow into bigger, global brands.
Panellists include Grey Goose’s European Ambassador Joey Medrington as well as Daniel Thompson who leads a global coffee development programme for Soho House & Co.
La Marzocco UK’s general manager, Paul Kelly, will join the panel to discuss the journey that La Marzocco, the brand, has been on from its inception up until today.
Maximising Modern Media
This panel seeks to discover how new tools on social media have changed how we capture coffee experiences.
Media partner, Caffeine Magazine, will be represented by Scott Bentley, the founder and creator. Celeste Wong, the maker of ‘The Girl in the Cafe’ series will also be on the panel with Jason Breckenridge, the filmmaker behind ‘This Beautiful Addiction’ and Tim Rogg, creator of ‘The Right Roast’.

True Artisan Café as the onsite coffee shop concept returns but this time featuring coffees from some of the finest roasters outside of the UK.
