Lavazza, the official coffee of London Fashion Week for the 15th year in 2016, has recruited a new up-and-coming designer to create a bespoke coffee cup design for the AW16 shows. A design by London-based Chinese creative Ryan Lo, who many style sources believe to be ‘the designer of the moment’ will feature on the brand’s cups throughout the five-day event, which is set to take place from 19-23 February.
Lavazza expects to serve over 30,000 cups of coffee over the period, both backstage and for those attending the shows. The brand’s beverages will be available from the two Store Kitchens and HIX cafĂ© on Brewer Street.
The activity forms part of Lavazza’s work with the British Fashion Council (BFC), where it aims help in establishing the next generation of designers by helping to raise their profile.
The coffee brand has developed a reputation for its one-off coffee design collaborations. For London Collections Men (LCM) in January it teamed up with Agi & Sam, meanwhile Marques Almeida was enlisted for London Fashion Week SS16 last September.
