MILAN – Last year, Accademia del Caffè Espresso, the coffee cultural and research hub established by La Marzocco, started Liaison Cupping, a series of presentations of regional and specialty coffees in direct connection with origins.
The main goal for Accademia is to reduce the distance between coffee producers and consumers. Liaison Cupping is a tool to this end.
Liaison Cupping: next event is scheduled for the 24th of February at 16:30
After cupping coffees from Guatemala, Honduras, Costa Rica and El Salvador during the previous episodes, it is now time to cup coffees from the Galapagos Islands, Loja, Pichincha, Chaguarpamba and Imbabura. Representatives of the national associations for coffee protection – Asociación de Cafés Especiales del Ecuador (ACEDE) and Instituto de Promoción de Exportaciones e Inversiones (Pro Ecuador) – will introduce the topic with some data and facts and present the coffees.
The next Liaison Cupping session will take place on February 24, at 4.30 CET. Accademia experts Massimo Battaglia (Coffee research leader) and Nora Smahelova (Coffee education leader) will make you discover five Ecuadorian coffees.
