ROTTERDAM, The Netherlands – Louis Dreyfus Company B.V. (LDC) announced today a successful €500 million, 7-year, senior bond issuance (BB+) with a 1.625% coupon. Application has been made to list the bonds on the Luxembourg Stock Exchange’s regulated market. The offering is expected to close on April 28, subject to customary closing conditions.
“Driven by strong investor demand, the bond issue was markedly oversubscribed, with orders in excess of €1.5 billion from more than 190 investors. We thank investors for their confidence in our business strategy, and in the positive long-term outlook for our sector,” said Michael Gelchie, LDC’s Chief Executive Officer.
“Building on LDC’s public rating (BBB- with positive outlook) by S&P Global Ratings, and our recent bond issuance in November 2020, this transaction contributes to already diversified sources of long-term funding, extending LDC’s debt maturity profile, further reinforcing our liquidity position at favorable conditions, and ensuring financial flexibility for the company,” said Patrick Treuer, LDC’s Chief Financial Officer.
Natixis, SMBC Nikko, Société Générale and Standard Chartered Bank AG are active joint lead managers on the deal.
