NEW YORK, US – Illy joins New York Magazine’s Vulture Festival aiming to inspire creativity among New Yorkers who revel in the culture of art from literature to film. The Festival kicks off May 9 and runs until May 11, and includes the New York premier of Fort Tilden.
“Coffee is a muse for artistic and creative expression within many cultures throughout the world over centuries,” said Master Barista Giorgio Milos. “The Vulture Festival is a microcosm, a community coming together under a unique, creative platform so it’s a natural setting for illy to participate as we celebrate the culture of inspiration and coffee.”
Milos, a scholar on global coffee culture, is marking Vulture Festival with his own creative expression, a unique illy coffee cocktail called The High Notes.
The cocktail is inspired by a combination of ideas ranging from music being featured at Vulture Festival including Rufus Wainwright and Solange, to the taste of the illy unique blend, which acts as a symphony — rich, full, multi-faceted, yet subtle, comprised of immensely talented soloists, each coaxed to their finest performance under the hand of an expert conductor.
Following Vulture Festival on May 12, illy is presenting a compilation of interviews captured on film, created by Liberatum, called Inspiring Creativity, an insiders’ perspective on inspiration from the minds of well-known creative personalities. The trailer for the short film can be seen at https://vimeo.com/94683424.
The project was the vision of Liberatum, an international organization described as a global cultural movement celebrating creativity, freedom of expression and connecting the world’s finest minds to create engaging cultural content with their counterparts in different countries.
