TRIESTE, Italy – The event Trieste Coffee Experts – The preview designed by the Trieste roasting company Bazzara, concluded with a great success on 28th October in the framework of the Triestespresso Expo which took place in the Trieste Convention Center (Tcc) in the Porto Vecchio of the city.

He played a central role in the several speeches of the event and also spoke as Ambassador of coffee to support even more a collaboration between Trieste and Napoli, strongly wanted by Franco Bazzara, the president of the Trieste company, since both are cities symbol of coffee. A metaphor to put under the spotlight the several realities of this sector throughout Italy and support the importance of working as a team to reach the goal of UNESCO and promote the coffee ritual as an Italian symbol in the world.

The President of Borbone, with a brilliant speech, states, “in the perspective of sustainability the key is to listen more to the customer, who is already very aware. Consumers who must be seen as an input for a virtuous race among the different production systems and that with their choices repays the companies that work more to make production systems more efficient, that use more the renewable energies and promote a continuous fight against waste”.

Coffee Person of the Year

An amusement moment which culminated in the awarding of the prize “Coffee Person of the Year” to Maurizio Giuli.

Maurizio Giuli is Executive for the corporate strategy in the Simonelli Group, vice president of the Ucimac – the Association of Italian producers of coffee machines – for four years President of the same association and also export area manager for the Simonelli Group.

The TCE award was born to pay tribute to the people who, with passion, determination and competence are able to win the challenges of the market and to be the leaders of the sector, always aiming at the excellence of the service and the high quality of coffee, people who probably were never given the right value for their work and dedication.
