VENICE, Italy – Mazzer offers a completely updated range of coffee grinders. A team that over the last two years has grown to include bright new players and new skills. A manufacturing facility that has doubled in size and is equipped with the best technology – a significant step for a company like Mazzer which has always designed and produced every part internally, down to the last tiny grinding cog that goes into the making of a top-range grinder.

With seventy years of passion for precision engineering behind it, the company has entered a new phase, evolving by opening itself to the latest electronics, new designs and ergonomic solutions to help the barista to work better, in less time and with less waste.

Mazzer has always changed in step with the world of coffee, and vice versa, and Host will provide an excellent platform to present all its latest developments to friends old and new.

On Mazzer’s 200m2 stand, guests will be welcomed by a team made up of technicians and members of the sales force, ready to help them choose the best coffee grinder for their needs.

Most importantly, the entire product range will be on display – a great opportunity to try out the new machines and technologies that will soon become part of the daily lives of many baristas.

To mention just one of the innovations on display, visitors to the fair will be able to see the new Grind Flow Control – GFC for themselves.

The system is the response of the Mazzer laboratories to three problems widely experienced by professionals in the sector: how to avoid clumping and obtain a more homogenous grind; how to reduce electrostatic charge, which causes coffee grounds to be blown across the counter; and how to improve dose repeatability to achieve greater control over the in-cup result.

The GFC system is composed of a removable aluminium outlet insert with one or more wire dampers. This involves high-precision engineering applied to very small parts. The system prevents clumping, avoiding the need to break them up, and at the same time reduces the electrostatic charge of the machine.

With top-range machines such as the new Robur S and Kold S, the barista can also choose the most appropriate wire damper for his or her needs from the three supplied with the machine. Based on the type of coffee, roast type, climate conditions or individual preferences, the barista can change the wire damper easily, choosing between Hybrid, AntiDust and AntiClumping.

This represents a new frontier in the personalisation options that can be offered, enabling the equipment to be adapted to the barista’s needs.

In addition to GFC technology, visitors to the Mazzer stand will also be able to see the new possibilities offered by the IoT (internet of things) and to gain a better understanding of how connectivity will influence new business models in the café sector in the years to come.

What’s more, adjustment of the grinder using micrometric digital control, applied for the first time to the ZM model, will be extended to new solutions in order to further harness its potential. In conclusion, the new electronic functionality and the many ergonomic solutions applied to the new machines will provide a practical demonstration of the work of Mazzer to support the barista community, whose members – every day and across the world – help to make our day better.

From 18 to 22 October, at Host, you can visit the Mazzer stand M50-N39 Hall 24.
