TORONTO, Canada – Melitta Canada, a household name in exceptional coffee preparation, today announced that it will team up for World Alzheimer’s Day with the Alzheimer Society of B.C. to host the annual fundraiser, Coffee Break, in downtown Vancouver.
A team of staff and volunteers from the Alzheimer Society of B.C. will serve coffee on Sept. 21, 2017 at London Drugs Plaza, corner of Granville and West Georgia Streets in downtown Vancouver.
In exchange for a donation, staff and volunteers will hand out freshly brewed cups of Melitta coffee to Vancouver residents on their way to work during the hours of 7-10:30 a.m.
Information regarding the Alzheimer Society of B.C. and Coffee Break® will also be distributed to encourage the public to host a similar Coffee Break® in their home or workplace by inviting their friends, family or colleagues to make a donation in exchange for a cup of coffee.
Sip, smile and enjoy the pure flavour of handcrafted coffee while bringing awareness to a great cause.
“Melitta Canada is very much looking forward to this special event with the Alzheimer Society of B.C.,” said Davide Viola, Melitta Canada VP of Marketing.
“We will be inviting the public to enjoy a fresh cup of Melitta coffee and invite everyone to provide us with a donation in support of the important work being done every day by the Alzheimer Society of B.C. We are a nation of coffee lovers and Vancouver is certainly a city of coffee lovers, so we expect a great turnout in downtown Vancouver on the big day.”
