MILAN, Italy – The Milan Coffee Festival is returning on November 30th – December 2nd and bringing a series of events and activities with Modbar in mind. They are sponsoring Latte Art Live in the center of the festival, this entire zone will be dedicated to the technique and skill of mastering latte art.
The Modbar is the perfect catalyst in creating an experience where festival goers and baristas can show their skill with no barriers.
On Saturday and Sunday learn the difference with “Modbar Technical Series: Cappuccino, Latte & Flat White”, a great event for first time and curious fans, hosted by Matteo Beluffi. On Monday, join La Marzocco’s Product Improvement Manager and World Coffee Events judge Enrico Wurm.
Come learn the ins & outs of our favorite undercounter espresso machine with “Modbar Steam: a Pro Touch for a Barista Pro- Technical Insights.”
Next, a new interactive daily championship called “Chi Vince Regna” will put you head to head with anyone who dares to join. Beat the Champ (in English) will have you battle through an elimination process to find that day’s Best Latte Artist. Winner takes home a Modbar-branded goody bag, just queue up at the time slot and start battling!
Finally, the notorious True Artisan Café. Roasters showcase and brew on the Modbar through the three-days. Time slots include Terrone, Café del Borgo, Le Piantagioni, Quarta, Lady Caffè, and Imperator.
And overseas: The Annual Winter Latte Art Throwdown
Just a few days after, the 5th Annual Winter Latte Art Throwdown comes back to the town that started it all. On December 5th from 6 to 10 pm, located in Fort Wayne, Indiana where Modbar HQ is based.
This year they are partnering with their friends at Utopian Coffee, with the event taking place at The Landing.
An evening of friendly competition and some amazing prizes from generous sponsors which include Espresso Supply, St. Anthony Industries, Fortezza Coffee, Conjure Coffee, Oatly, Utopian Coffee, Tinker Coffee, Crimson Cup, Created Co., La Marzocco, Counter Culture, Barista Magazine, Baratza, Tradecraft Outfitters, and Tamperista. Plus cash prizes!
Event goers can bring a new/unwrapped toy for the Toys for Tots Foundation and receive a raffle ticket for a special prize. Food, music, and drinks will be available. In previous years, the Throwdown has grown past the coffee community creating a welcome space for locals and travelers.
