ESINE, Brescia (Italy) – In collaboration with the Italian Chamber of Commerce in the UAE (IICUAE) and officially launched on June 30th, 2022, the “Italian Yellow Directory in the Gulf” is an ambitious new project which aims at helping Italian companies in the Gulf area (United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait and Oman) to discover concrete business opportunities which boost the “made in Italy” trademark.

Caffè Morandini in the Gulf States

Caffè Morandini is one of the companies selected by the IICUAE to take part in this venture, which will be operative until June 2023.

During this period the Chamber of Commerce will provide a team of experienced representatives, as well as an administrative office, who have the task of interacting with potential local buyers, handling initial contacts, checking their level of interest in cooperating together and giving them preliminary information about the Italian companies the team represents, so as to prepare the groundwork for the negotiations which will subsequently be moved to the company’s internal Sales Department.

The project also includes a space on a B2B Digital Export platform, aimed at the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) area, showing information about Italian companies, their catalogues and contact details; this will help them gain visibility, giving the local companies a ‘smarter’ way to learn about possible partners.

In addition, the Italian companies involved in the project can take advantage of a variety of support & assistance services during the negotiation process; the selected companies can in fact consult a network of qualified experts for advice in legal, certification, taxation and customs matters.

Lastly, the participants in the project can use one of the Chamber of Commerce’s offices for business meetings with potential buyers in Dubai, the capital of what is the main business hub in the entire GCC area.

“Thanks to the support of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in the UAE we now have the possibility to be a “made in Italy” Ambassador, bringing all our passion and vision to the Gulf, an area full of opportunities for us. This is yet another sign of our international ambitions.”
