CHICAGO, U.S. — Momentum is building for the inaugural National Vending Day, Thursday, March 7. As part of the celebration, the NAMA Foundation is hosting an event designed to increase excitement and benefit the Foundation.

“We hope the industry agrees this is a win-win opportunity. On March 7, take action! For a donation of $175 to the NAMA Foundation, the first 20 donors will receive a free Conlux Validator, with an estimated value of $300,” according to Heidi Chico, Chair of the NAMA Foundation.

To donate, visit: namanow.org/foundation/donate. “To win, you’ll have to act fast! To track availability, given the limited quantity of 20, follow NAMA’s twitter feed on March 7,” she continued.

“We applaud the NAMA Foundation and the many NAMA member companies who have leveraged National Vending Day to shine a light on the industry. Working together, this is a great opportunity to build awareness of the channel and individual businesses,” said Roni Moore, vice president, public relations for NAMA. “Remember to use the hashtag — #vendingday — to inject power and better target your social media posts.”

To mark this day, NAMA will showcase the industry — which includes vending – and its total economic impact of nearly $25 billion. The U.S. Convenience Services industry is represented in every community across the United States through traditional vending and micro markets — unattended retail — as well as office coffee and pantry services. The industry, providing 140,000 good paying jobs with $7.21 billion in wages, pays $3.5 billion taxes at every level of government. From manufacturing to small-drop distribution, the industry meets the needs of consumers everywhere they are.

Founded in 1982, The NAMA Foundation’s mission is to strengthen and advance the convenience services industry through strategic support of advocacy, education and research initiatives
