BOGOTÁ, Colombia – Results are announced for the 6th National Quality Contest: Colombia Land of Diversity. The competition is organized and run by the Colombian Coffee Growers Federation (FNC) and rewards the Effort, Dedication and Commitment to Quality of the Colombian coffee farmers.
The top 26 lots was selected and international judges from different parts of the world gave their own scores and getting positively impressed.
These were the results:
First place for Domingo Torres from Norte de Santander (usd/lb $41), second place for Eidel de Jesús Machado Cano from Antioquia (usd/lb 21.50), third place for Beatriz Helena Vélez Restrepo (usd/lb $19).
All of 26 lots were sold and we did achieved a new record of Colombia Land of diversity contest on the average auction price usd/lb 12.76.
There were 20 final clients from Germany, England, China, Korea and Japan. Also, 114 registered clients in 3 hours and 40 minutes of auction time.
