FANO, Italy – La Natura Lifestyle International Holding AG recently completed the acquisition of a 60% stake in Ultramar Caffè, Europe’s leading manufacturer of coffee barrier capsules and derivatives in all materials, from plastic, aluminium, and domestic composting. Ultramar Invest, a company owned by the Nava Montanari family, will retain a 40% stake.

La Natura Lifestyle International Holding AG will enable Ultramar and its management to develop an ambitious development strategy by strengthening the company organisation and further expanding its international presence. An operation, therefore, that will allow Ultramar to conquer new markets and increase its growth.

Ultramar Caffè concluded 2022 with a total turnover of more than Euro 20,000,000, an increase of 40% compared to 2021. This was an outstanding result, the result of a careful policy of business development and financial planning. Ultramar Caffè employs more than 70 employees and produces more than 200 million coffee capsules with a target of half a billion by 2024.

“This operation represents a great opportunity for Ultramar Caffè”, explains CEO Alessandro Nava. “In eight years we have achieved truly incredible results, the result of exponential growth made possible by the harmony between investments and the commercial sector. We have been working on investments in new products, new markets and our many collaborators, and we have become an internationally recognised major player. Today’s is another step forward that will allow us to grow further and faster in the European and international markets. We will stay true to our identity”.

La Natura Lifestyle International Holding AG is already active in the single-portion sector with Functional Food, a Swiss company working in the field of compatible and closed-system capsule packaging in which the Managing Director, Mr Gianni Remo, has been identified as the next CEO of Ultramar Caffè.

Watson Farley & Williams and Ceccarelli & Silvestri assisted the shareholders of Ultramar Caffè, in the sale of the majority of the share capital to La Natura Lifestyle International Holding AG.
