MILAN – Coffee drinkers can enjoy, for the first time, vegan-friendly barista-style non-dairy coffee from their pod coffee machine: the new range of Nescafé Dolce Gusto Flat White plant-based pods have launched in almond, coconut and oat varieties.
The new range of plant-based pods is registered by the Vegan Society. This latest in pod coffee innovation from Nestlé will help meet the growing consumer demand for plant-based and non-dairy products, with a third of UK households now buying milk alternatives[1].
Brandon Primozic, Brand Manager for Dolce Gusto said: “The pods are ideal for vegans or those looking for a more plant-based diet and offer shoppers even more variety for their Dolce Gusto machine. Coffee lovers can create superior coffee blended with lactose-free milk for a deliciously smooth, vegan Flat White.”
Launching in January the all-new pods are in store at Tesco or Sainsbury’s or online from Dolce Gusto website.
The pods are compatible with the full range of Dolce Gusto machines and join its full range of pods, spanning over 50 delicious hot and cold coffees, teas, and Nesquik hot chocolate.
All the pods can be recycled through the Collect+ scheme, and Nestlé has joined forces with Jacobs Douwe Egberts to becoming the founders of Podback, a first of its kind recycling programme for coffee pods, which will launch this year.
