BERLIN, Germany – Making two into three: 2018 sees Bar Convent Berlin being held on three days for the first time. This means the trade show starts one day earlier. From Monday the approximately 400 exhibitors expected will demonstrate the diversity and creativity of the industry.
From 8 to 10 October BCB will offer more tastings, talks and exhibitors than ever before. “With this move we are creating the prerequisites for satisfying the strong rise in demand for tickets,” says BCB event director Petra Lassahn. At the most recent event it was not possible to cater to all requests due to official regulations.
BCB will be occupying every available square metre at two of the hottest venues in Berlin: Station Berlin and the neighbouring Kühlhaus. Prime spirits, mixers, beer, coffee, snacks, equipment and continuous education will be in focus.
The unique atmosphere at BCB allows the bar community to discover new beverages and the latest industry trends. Bartenders, bar owners, food and beverage professionals and beverage industry experts can already today look forward to creative minds, exciting newcomers and big brands.
The three days will also provide new scope for the programme of BCB side events, which will be even more focused in 2018 with special themed days. Admission tickets for visitors will be available from May.
International industry institutions – focus on Italy
Borco, Brown Forman, Campari, Schweppes, Schwarze und Schlichte and TeamSpirit: major key exhibitors have already booked their stands while many others are in the starting blocks. In excess of 400 exhibitors are expected to present well over 1,000 brands.
This year there will be a special focus on exhibitors from Italy, the official partner country of Bar Convent Berlin 2018. Italy has traditionally been among the biggest exhibiting nations at the trade show. This year to the tune of 45 Italian companies are expected. The guest country’s appearance will centre on a pavilion that provides room for up to 12 companies exhibiting jointly.

Brand presentations, talks delivered by international top-notch speakers, education seminars and tastings – the line-up of events supporting BCB gives visitors numerous possibilities to expand their knowledge. Here the new BCB Director of Education, Angus Winchester, will ensure the international top themes and most exciting masterminds are centrestage. Hailing from Great Britain, Winchester has been in the bar business for 30 years; he is a passionate bartender, trainer and consultant. At BCB 2018 he will be in charge of the complete expert programme for the first time.
