HAMBURG, Germany – Hand-made is the big trend. The new Craft Spirit Lounge follows up on the popular Craft Beer Arena at Internorga 2018, the leading industry meeting point for the whole of the food service and hospitality market.

The newly developed concept is all about artisan spirits, expanding Internorga’s coverage of ‘hand-crafted’. It provides a relaxed environment with the perfect atmosphere for connoisseurs to savour new products and indulge their passion for strong drink.

Producers of classic distilled products such as gin, whisky, rum, fruit brandies and vodka present their products here in a unique setting.

This dedicated area gives selected exhibitors a unique platform to get new business leads and develop new customer groups.

New inspiration for trade visitors

The Craft Spirit Lounge at Internorgabrings the latest drinking trends together under one roof. It is prominently positioned, and is very close to the proven exhibitor formats Newcomers’ Area and Craft Beer Arena.

Claudia Johannsen, Business Unit Director Hamburg Messe und Congress GmbH, is delighted with this expansion of exhibitor areas. “The Craft Spirit Lounge is a highly specialised area inviting visitors to explore, and showcasing a variety of distillery products at one location.

Handcrafted spirits such as gin, rum and also schnapps are a big trend and give restaurants and hotels ideal opportunities to offer their own customers something new. We see great potential in the new exhibitor area, becoming another popular highlight like the Newcomers’ Area and the Craft Beer Arena.

National Craft Spirit diversity

Leading manufacturers of the very highest quality have already registered as exhibitors at the new Craft Spirit Lounge. They include Feinbrennerei Sasse from Münsterland, which was awarded the title “World-Class Distillery” for the third time in succession at the 2017 World Spirits Award.

Other distilleries that have registered are Lantenhammer and Slyrs, both from Upper Bavaria.

Lantenhammer is a distillery with a great heritage, now regarded as Europe’s most modern distillery, manufacturing a wide range of fruit brandies and liqueurs. Slyrs is a passionate whisky pioneer from the town of Schliersee, and is the award winner for the “Best German Single Malt 2017”.

Slyrs sets new standards for high-quality whisky creations outside of Scotland. Exhibitors will also include gin specialist Spitzmund from Schleswig-Holstein, and Christian Schumm with “The Taste Collection”.
