After gathering World Latte Art and World Coffee in Good Spirits competitors from all over the world at Spazio Candiani, Milan, for three years, the dc campus is now opening to new horizons. It will take place from April 24 to May 3 in Sumatra (Indonesia).
Besides the three values at the basis of any dc campus – live/learn/share – this year’s edition will be characterized by sustainability and commitment in a project that aims at safeguarding orang-utans and the tropical flora, as well as the people working in sustainable and organic coffee farming.
Along with the Swiss organization PanEco, Dalla Corte intends to improve the quality of Orangutan Coffee (the final product of this project) to turn it into one of the best specialty coffees.
For this reason, Dalla Corte created the Orangutan Coffee Lab in Medan, a support and training centre for the farmers involved in the project.
2015 dc campus will give all participants the chance to discover and enjoy the beauty of the tropical forest, as well as of the many animal species living in this natural oasis – such as orang-utans and elephants – and to share its inhabitants’ environmental commitment in the production of a top-quality Arabica contributing to forest preservation.
