PRINCETON, NJ – The CM 6310 is the newest addition to Miele’s line of Countertop Coffee systems, offering the sought-after features of its built-in coffee system in a freestanding unit.

The new unit offers the ability to program four user profiles. This is useful when a household has several coffee lovers, all with their own preferences when it comes to grind, cup size, temperature and pre-brewing option.

These parameters can all be conveniently set and saved under the user’s name. Espresso, regular coffee, cappuccino and latté macchiato were available in the previous model at the touch of a button, even filling two cups at once (OneTouch for Two).

The latest model now features additional specialties, including ristretto – a stronger version of espresso – at the touch of a finger. The CM 6310 also boasts familiar features such as a stainless-steel milk flask, button and cup lighting, cup heating and hot water for tea.

In order to extract the entire goodness out of coffee beans, Miele has equipped this new coffee system with its tried-and-tested dynamic brew unit (AromaticSystem).

The chamber at the heart of this feature expands as water enters, allowing greater space in which ground coffee and water can blend, resulting in a more intensive aroma. Other settings such as the pre-brew option, the fineness of grind, ground quantity and the temperature can be changed individually at all times.

All functions are presented in a high-quality, razor-sharp TFT display using white characters on a black background. Miele has given the name DirectSensor to this type of user interface, which perfectly matches the control panels on its Generation 6000 built-in appliances.

Cleaning can be difficult, particularly regarding milk residue in the coffee system’s pipework. In this respect, the new model makes maintenance simple as the milk lines and the Cappuccinatore are automatically rinsed when the machine is switched off.

Simply separate the hose from the milk flask and insert the end into the drip tray. The hose is first rinsed with water and then flushed with steam. The brew unit can be removed and run under warm water for cleaning. Additionally, the drip tray and the waste container are both dishwasher-safe.
