CHARLOTTE, N.C., U.S. – Parliament Espresso & Coffee Bar has announced plans to open its third location in the heart of Uptown Charlotte, N.C. in mid-December.
Parliament strives to provide coffee lovers with high-quality handcrafted coffee and fresh cuisine, as evident by its flagship location in New York City which opened in December of 2016.
Parliament’s urban oasis in Charlotte, which will seat nearly 100 guests, is situated on a pedestrian-friendly street complemented by a recently-installed linear park with tables and chairs.
The shop will also be home to a convenient walk-up window, perfect for busy guests looking for a quick caffeine fix, with grab-and-go orders and pre-orders available through the Parliament Espresso App.
“Parliament Charlotte will provide coffee for the true connoisseur, whether enjoyed in our welcoming location or on the go,” said Morgan Bedore, vice president of sales for STARR Catering Group.
“Adorned with reclaimed materials and creative murals, we hope Parliament’s intimate atmosphere serves as the community gathering place for coworkers, friends and neighbors of Uptown Charlotte.”
Parliament will offer thoughtfully-sourced espresso drinks, baked goods and light breakfast and lunch items served amid a cool and comfortable environment designed for relaxation, work and collaboration.
Parliament’s well-trained, highly knowledgeable baristas take great care in brewing every cup of coffee, made with 100 percent Arabica beans. In addition to Parliament’s drip and brewed-to-order house coffees, the shop also offers a variety of espresso options made with La Marzocco espresso machines from Florence, Italy, including Parliament’s signature “Flat White,” the perfect marriage of espresso and steamed milk.
Thoughtful Sourcing
Parliament’s direct trade relationship with La Virgen Coffee Estates in Nicaragua and coffee grower Henry Hueck ensures not only a higher quality cup of coffee, but a better quality of life for those who grow and harvest it. Parliament donates a percentage of all proceeds back to Henry to build his community, supporting the medical clinics in his village and schools that teach his workers and their families.
Fresh Food Selections
Those looking for a bite to eat can enjoy Parliament’s signature baked goods ranging from croissants and scones to muffins and housemade cookies. Guests can also fuel up for the day with several breakfast options like bacon, egg and cheese sandwiches, and muesli cups. Delicious and light lunch and dinner options are also available with Parliament’s selection of seasonal sandwiches and salads like its Chicken Tandoori Wrap with mango chutney aioli and Kale Chicken Caesar Salad with roasted garlic dressing.
Parliament is also home to complimentary Wi-Fi and a large selection of charging stations, perfect for guests to work while enjoying their coffee and cuisine.
