Customers did not want flavored specialty coffees. I reviewed more than five years of customer data and supply chain metrics from various coffee green suppliers. The initial RFP (Request For Proposal) tested Pooki’s Mahi supply chain capabilities. I reviewed more than 50 green coffee suppliers for their supply chain, technology platforms used, operations capabilities, and certifications.”
“Over one year was spent testing coffees from the final three suppliers. I selected coffees for Koffee KaKao product line in 2017. Pooki’s Mahi goal for Koffee KaKao is to introduce unblended, expensive best tasting single-origin coffees in recyclable coffee capsules. I selected 100% single-origin coffees that have strong cacao, chocolate or mocha taste and was readily available. Existing 100% Kona coffee drinkers can explore specialty coffee with mocha, cacao, and chocolate flavors. No blending or artificial ingredients used,” the Silicon Valley tech executive continued.
