EMMERICH AM RHEIN (Germany) – Probat, the world`s leading manufacturer of coffee processing plants and machinery, supports the German chapter of the European Specialty Coffee Industry (SCAE) in organizing the German Roasting Championship also in 2016.

From 5-7 October the German Roasters` elite meets at the headquarters of the Probat-Group in Emmerich once again to pick the best.

The Probat-showroom with its extensive range of cutting-edge roasting technology again draws organizers and participants of the German Roasting Championship to the Lower Rhine area.

In 2015 Probat already acted as host for the most important national event of the coffee industry.

“At Probat the technical requirements for grading, roasting and tasting of the coffees under competitive conditions are just ideal”, says Patricia Nabitz from SCAE German Chapter.

Jens Roelofs, head of the shoproaster department at Probat, attaches great importance to providing the competitors with an ideal environment: “Next to the extensive technical equipment in our showroom and research & development facilities, the Probat shoproaster-team with their profound expertise will be at participants` disposal throughout the whole event. Therefore we create the perfect ground for a successful championship. We wish all competitors good luck and are really excited about who will come first eventually. The top three competitors will be awarded with trophies handcrafted by Probat especially for the German Roasting Championship.”

For the first time Probat welcomes also non-participants to the general program

This year Probat not only provides room and human resources, but also guides interested parties through an informative general program.

Participants of the Championship, any accompanying persons as well as any non-participating coffee-enthusiasts are invited to take part.

Upon prior registration anyone who is interested can participate in factory tours as well as tastings of the coffees roasted during the competition.

Furthermore there will be an opportunity to taste coffees brought along by the individual competitors on the last day of the tournament.

Any parties interested in tour factories and cup tastings are requested to register at a.rehn@probat.com until 30 September.

The number of participants is limited.
