LOS ANGELES, USA – In Los Angeles, a vibrant new spot for coffee lovers has emerged with the opening of Pam’s Coffy, nestled within the Quentin Tarantino owned Vista Theater. Paying homage to Jack Hill’s iconic 1973 film “Coffy,” starring Pam Grier, this cafe made its debut on February 14.
Originally slated to be named simply “Coffy,” the cafe underwent a noticible transformation after Tarantino, having worked closely with Grier in “Jackie Brown,” felt compelled to change the name with a more personal touch.

In this way Pam’s Coffy was born, infusing the essence of Grier’s indelible influence into its identity.
This coffee shop marks just one facet of Tarantino’s broader initiative to rejuvenate the historic Vista Theater, a 400-seat gem he acquired in 2021.
Having first opened its doors in 1923, the theater experienced a brief hiatus in 2020 before Tarantino’s vision breathed new life into its storied halls.
The grand reopening in November 2023, highlighted by a screening of “True Romance,” signaled a triumphant return to cinematic glory, showing Tarantino’s dedication to preserving film heritage and fostering vibrant community spaces in Los Angeles.
Pam’s Coffy offers a selection of coffee blends, including a special custom blend curated Quentin Tarantino himself. Crafted by the esteemed Jones Coffee Roasters located in Pasadena, this blend has been Tarantino’s personal favorite for the past five years.
