TOKYO, Japan – A new appointment awaits all enthusiasts of Italian espresso on August 4th, 2023, in Tokyo, Japan. Rancilio Specialty RS1 will join Rancilio Grindtec Kryo as official sponsors of the sixth Japanese edition of the Espresso Italiano Champion. Hosted by the Italian Espresso Association (IEI) in technical collaboration with the International Institute of Coffee Tasters (IIAC), the event will see thirteen professional baristas competing to obtain the prestigious title of the best Italian espresso expert in Japan.
Rancilio Specialty at Espresso Italiano Champion Japan 2023 in Tokyo
In just eleven minutes, contestants will have to showcase their skills using RS1 extraction technology and Kryo’s grinding precision to create four espressos and four cappuccinos that reflect the long-standing Italian tradition.
With their victory, the champion will have the opportunity to advance to the international final which will be held in October 2023 at Host Milan. On the line is also a Rancilio Silvia, the espresso machine designed specifically for the home.
