MILAN, Italy – Rancilio Specialty will be one of the exhibitors at the first and long-awaited edition of the Milan Coffee Festival, scheduled to run from 30 November to 2 December at the Pelota space in Milan.

Every year, the Coffee Festivals attract thousands of visitors to the Old Truman Brewery in London, to the Westergasfabriek in Amsterdam and the Metropolitan Pavilion in New York.

Crowds of enthusiasts, baristas, trade operators, micro roasters and curious passersby are expected to arrive in Milan this year for the first Italian appointment.

In the course of the years, the Coffee Festivals have become authentic social gatherings offering music, street food and coffee all the way, attended by a variegated and enthusiastic public of coffee lovers, coffee bean artisans, baristas and trade operators.

The Milanese edition will take place at the Pelota in Via Palermo, a place which epitomizes the metamorphosis of the Brera district: from Basque pelota temple and gambling den to a modern, multifunctional location for exclusive events.

Rancilio could not possibly let such a chance go by and, especially for the occasion, will be presenting a stand dedicated to Rancilio Specialty-RS1, the new coffee machine designed for the world of  Specialty Coffee which has already seduced the public of the London Coffee Festival.

Just a few weeks from the finals of the Latte Art and Coffee in Good Spirits Championships, the baristas competing for the Italian title on the stage of SIGEP will get the chance to test the new features of RS1 for themselves at the Milan Coffee Festival: from its innovative steam system to Advanced Temperature Profiling.

As well as offering a showcase for the world of baristas’ competitions, the Rancilio Specialty stand will be a space open to all Festival visitors. Jessica Sartiani will be starring behind the counter with her welcome coffee drinks and there will also be informative sessions targeting Sunday’s public.

Rancilio Group’s Coffee Competence team will welcome the more curious visitors to the Extraction Lab table, the interactive laboratory which is all set to reveal the secrets of coffee extraction, thanks to a series of tasting experiences, showing the potential offered by Rancilio-patented Temperature Profiling.

At the Extraction Lab there will also be a space dedicated to micro roasters who will be able to extract their blends and mono origin coffees using the different temperature profiles available on RS1 (Up, Down or Flat).

Milan will welcome the Specialty Coffee tribes, certain to repeat the success of other international formats which have sanctioned the cultural, commercial and creative rebirth of the city. This is because coffee is culture, in exactly the same way as design, fashion, cinema and photography.

Today, the Coffee Festivals are not-to-be-missed events for the Specialty Coffee tribe which, by surfing the third coffee wave, have revolutionized the entire industry, enabling an unprecedented interaction between producers and consumers.

In this new international scenario, inhabited by baristas, coffee shops and mono origin coffees, Rancilio Specialty-RS1 represents the real novelty waiting to be discovered.

Rancilio Specialty looks forward to welcoming you to stand M03 at the Milan Coffee Festival
