BUFFALO, N.Y., USA – Rarebird Inc., founders of the first-ever jitterless coffee, announces recent company milestones of-note, with the latest securement of strategic capital via 43North, a leading accelerator program investing into high-growth companies in Buffalo, NY as well as relocation of their corporate headquarters.

Rarebird was recently selected as part of 43North’s immersive accelerator cohort, providing the company with $1M in funding, which will be used towards scaling their e-commerce and B2B sales efforts, as well as continued R&D.

Founded in 2014, 43North is an accelerator program based in Buffalo, NY, designed to attract and support high-growth startups. Each year, 43North invests $5 million through its competition, offering selected companies one year of free incubator space, mentorship from industry experts, and a range of business incentives to help them scale.

“Buffalo has a long history of food innovation, and that legacy continues today,” said Colleen E. Heidinger, President of 43North.

“We invested in RareBird because of its organic fit to grow in Buffalo and Jeffrey’s caliber as a multi-time founder with deep industry expertise and a strong passion for creating an entirely new beverage category in a fast-growing market. With Buffalo now RareBird’s headquarters, we’re excited to support its growth through local hires, community engagement, and the city’s thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem.”

In January, Rarebird relocated their corporate headquarters to the Buffalo area and will be moving their R&D activities in the coming months. Longer-term, Rarebird has plans to launch their first-ever coffee roastery in the vicinity.

“We couldn’t be more excited for all that’s to come for the business in 2025, with the recent news of our latest capital infusion, corporate relocation and planned startup of our first coffee roastery being just the tip of the iceberg,” states Jeffrey Dietrich, Founder and CEO.

Dietrich continues, “We look forward to immersing ourselves into the Buffalo community in the year ahead. The city is having a true Renaissance moment and we feel grateful to be one of many newer-to-market companies taking advantage of all that the city and its inspiring community has to offer.”
