SAG HARBOR, N.Y. U.S. – Red Thread Coffee Co., maker of a line of cold brew coffee that is certified organic, Fair Trade, single origin, no sugar and 5 calories or less, today announced that coffee industry veteran Jim Kaloyanides is joining the company as Vice President of Sales & Operations.

Kaloyanides has extensive coffee experience across all channels of trade and has held senior roles with Copper Moon Coffee, Club Coffee and New England Coffee Company, the largest independent coffee roaster and purveyor in New England, which was founded by his great grandfather a century ago.

“I’m very excited to be joining Red Thread Coffee,” said Kaloyanides. “One of the things that drew me to the company is that I believe it’s the best-tasting cold brew on the market. Also, it’s clear that Red Thread is truly unique compared to all of the other cold brews in that it’s the only line that I know of that has zero sugar, is organic and single origin. Selling a product that has a real point-of-difference and delivers against consumer needs is a lot easier than trying to sell another ‘me too’ brew.”

“We are thrilled Jim is joining Red Thread,” said CEO Kelly Reilly. “His extensive experience and coffee industry knowledge are a perfect fit for our product and our mission.”

During his time leading New England Coffee Company, Kaloyanides had full P&L responsibility and leadership of Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing Operations, Logistics, Human Resources, Finance, Commodity Purchasing, Customer & Equipment Service and Quality Assurance.

Kaloyanides received his MBA with concentrations in Marketing and Organization Development from Boston College, and his BSBA with concentrations in Marketing and Human Resource Management from Northeastern University.
