PARIS, France – Registration is open for the 4th International Contest of locally roasted coffees AVPA-Paris 2018.
A new coffee culture based on the notions of quality, passion and terroirs recognition is growing in producing countries, giving new opportunities to coffee growers to add value locally and in consumer countries.
What is AVPA?
The Agency for the Valorization of Agricultural Products, AVPA, is an organization composed essentially by producers and taste lovers who seek to contribute to the best valorization of agricultural production and the recognition of producers of excellence.
It is dedicated to promote high quality coffees, from coffees entirely processed at the origin.
AVPA is considering that the real coffee culture is among producers who must position themselves as the most legitimate actors in the coffee chain, and thus participate in a better redistribution of added value for the benefit of producing countries.
For the fourth time AVPA is opening its competition to producers (individual or organized in associations or cooperatives) who take the responsibility to roast their coffees, as well as the roasters implanted in the producing countries who guarantee the traceability of their coffees.
An ambitious goal
To receive more than 500 coffees from the 4 coffee producing continents and offer to the best among them an international medal which will give to these happy award-winning professionals a better recognition and a national and international high-level commercial acceptance.
The original categorization AVPA is adapted to the roasted coffees offer, giving each type of coffee a real opportunity to be recognized. It will enable each producer to compare his coffee with similar coffees and enable each buyer to choose precisely a coffee which has his preference.
