SAN FRANCISCO, U.S. — Cafe X today announced that Young Han, formerly a Limelight Health and Philz Coffee Executive, has joined the company as Chief Operating Officer. Young brings nearly 10 years of coffee experience and over 15 years of retail expertise to Cafe X. Most recently, he held multiple executive roles at Limelight Health including VP of Operations and VP of People & Culture.

Prior, he spent 3 years as the Director of Marketing for Philz Coffee, helping the brand with its national expansion. Young also spent several years at Starbucks where he managed over 15 locations across the Bay Area and was the spokesperson for their Got Milk? Ad campaign.

As Chief Operating Officer, Young will spearhead expansion, continue development of Cafe X’s retail experience, lead marketing, and run business operations.

“Cafe X is set up to be one of the most disruptive companies in coffee, retail, and customer service as we know it,” said Han. “The energy and focus on creating that perfect cup of coffee consistently through the unique merging of service, retail, software and hardware is unparalleled. I’m excited to be joining the team at Cafe X and furthering its journey to new heights.”

In the coming months, Cafe X will be launching its newest Robotic Coffee Bars at several airports in the U.S. and will be unveiling its highly demanded licensing business model. The company is also working on expansion to new markets in 2020, including New York City.

“I’ve known Young for over a year and had the privilege of working with him as an advisor to the company over the last few months. His deep experience in operations and marketing complement our team perfectly and will be essential to our continued growth. I’m super excited to be working with him and taking Cafe X to the next level.” said Henry Hu, Founder and CEO.

Based in San Francisco, Cafe X designs, manufactures, and operates advanced systems that serve specialty coffee, tea, and more.
